WIZARD FALLS 2026 TWO

I have written about this river a few times for my online store and want to add more, but my knowledge hasn’t grown too much outside of other’s experiences. I know what I have to do to learn: fish this river. Throughout all my years, nothing has made me more in tune with the surroundings than fly fishing. I am only in my third year of fly fishing and I am completely addicted. I have gone roughly 500, maybe close to 600 times in these last three years. Whether I’m at a new spot or have hammered the same area, I always learn something new about that specific location while fly fishing. This something new could be the depth of the water, the wind direction at certain times, the trees surrounding the banks of water, anything and everything regarding the land has my senses heightened. This is not say I’m blind and indifferent while hiking or mountain biking a trail or even pulling up to a spot in my truck, but my senses are simply not as acute as they are while fishing. This river is full of mystery and I hope to learn more in coming years, maybe decades. This is one of two images shot during the Fall of 2026.
