These strike pads are raised to allow your bump stops to not hang down super low below your frame rail, which can potentially lead to mount failure from side load. Designed to take a beating and disperse impact from your bump stops. Intended for 3" diameter axle housings, however can very easily be modified to work with larger diameter axles.
