Wisdom in Leadership Development

Description Christian ministries want to grow. They rightly desire to see more and more people following the Lord Jesus as his faithful disciples. And that is why leadership matters: good leaders multiply disciple-making ministry. Yet so many churches and other ministries struggle with leadership, and poor leadership so often massively hinders their growth. In his first book, Wisdom in Leadership, Craig Hamilton provided a treasure trove of helpful wisdom for leaders on a multitude of topics. Now, in Wisdom in Leadership Development, he sets out a leadership pipeline and framework that will help any ministry‚ big or small‚ to better understand the various layers of leadership required and to deploy leaders who, under God, will expand the quantity and effectiveness of the ministry being done. This book is a must for all ministry leaders.   About the author Craig Hamilton is a graduate of Moore Theological College, and is the senior minister at Pitt Town Anglican. Recommendations For churches to grow both in fruitiness and faithfulness, they need a clear way to develop leaders. I've seen many leaders struggle with the shift from being a great individual contributor to equipping other leaders, but without this shift we lack the capacity to do all we could to grow our churches. Clarity on how to encourage this shift is growing more urgent by the day. We must develop leaders who can be confident in and find joy in leading leaders. I've heard Craig talk about developing leaders for many years and the simplicity, clarity and power of the framework has been extremely fruitful and has helped us multiply leaders across our church Ray Galea, Lead Pastor, Multicultural Bible Ministry We have found the concept of a leadership pipeline at Hunter Bible Church really beneficial in being intentional in how we raise up and equip godly leaders. Craig in all his books has a knack for taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand. He writes in an engaging way that helps us to improve our ministry practice‚ all within a solid theological framework for leading under God's sovereignty and within his church. What I love about this new book is that Craig unpacks a range of separate ingredients like culture, training, recruitment, architecture and so on, that are all needed and mix together to effectively develop leaders. This will be a great book to use within a leadership team because throughout it Craig has created space for teams to come together and work through ongoing implementation. We'll definitely be using this book to sharpen and refine our teams and to raise up more godly and equipped leaders as God continues to grow his kingdom. Scott Curtis, Ministry Pastor, Hunter Bible Church Understanding the leadership pipeline has made an enormous difference to the capacity and effectiveness of our team as a whole. Having clear definitions of what is each person's responsibility has freed the team leaders up to lead their team better and has empowered the leaders to get into running the program and building relationships with the kids in our playgroup. The pipeline framework's clarity and simplicity has been a breath of fresh air for a team who was trying to do everything all at once! Katie Smith, Assistant Minister, Grace West Anglican
