Wireworld Starlight 10 Ethernet Cable

Wireworld Starlight Cat 8 Ethernet Cable Better Data Transmission For Streaming Audio. Reviews Stereophile's Audiostream Wireworld The Wireworld Starlight Ethernet utilizes an innovative new conductor geometry that supports higher transmission speeds for the most lifelike reproduction of streamed music and video. Patent pending Tite-Shield Technology improves the most critical parameters of digital signal transmission thereby increasing speed and fidelity over standard ethernet cable design. Cat 8 For Higher Speed Transfer Unlike Category 7 cables, these innovative cables utilize a new conductor geometry developedby Wireworld to support higher transmission speed for the most accurate & lifelike reproduction of streamedmusic and video. Starlight Ethernet is the first production cable thatmeets the proposed requirements for Category 8.This cable is also the first to incorporateWireworld's patent-pending Tite-Shield¢Technology, a radical new structure thatovercomes limitations of previous network cabledesigns. With twelve tightly-spaced shieldsreplacing the six unevenly-spaced shields inCategory 7 cables, the Tite-Shield designimproves the most critical parameters of digitalsignal transmission. Starlight Ethernet sets new benchmarks for speed and fidelity in high resolutionmedia streaming applications.Category 7 cabling was created to satisfy the demands of 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Even thoughmost media networks now run below that speed, cables that support higher speeds have beenfound to improve the quality of audio and video streaming. Those improvements are possiblebecause streamed signals suffer from data errors that cannot be repaired by the error correctionsystems that preserve file transfers. The proposed standard for future networks is Category 8,which extends network speeds to the staggering rate of 40 Gigabits per second. One ofthe reasons why CAT7 cables do not meet the proposed CAT8 specifications is that theyallow too much crosstalk (mixing) between the four signal channels. To control crosstalk, conventional cables use four twisted pairs of conductors with one foil shield on each pair. Anoverall two-layer shield reduces outside interference. The problem with twisting is that it makeslengths of the conductors uneven, which causes timing errors called skew. Tite-Shieldtechnology isolates the four channels with a three-layer shield on each conductor pair. Thoseshields are so effective that twisting is no longer needed and conductor length differences areeliminated. Starlight's unique flat design provides greater separation between the four conductor pairs toprovide lower crosstalk, supporting higher transmission speeds than conventional designs. Thecable also utilizes Wireworld's proprietary Composilex¬Æ 2 insulation to minimize triboelectricnoise. The refined transmission properties afforded by these technologies ensureuncompromised performance in the next generation of streaming applications. If your streamer is utilizing a wired connection to your home network, start there. If you are running a wireless connection to your streamer, start with the modem to router connection. Ideally, you would want every wired data connection in the path to your streamer to be wired with The Starlight Cat 8 to ensure the highest transfer rate and data integrity.
