Wire Crimper Long

Wire Crimper Long The Wire Crimper Long is a must-have tool for assembling frames with 100% wax foundation. It’s designed to remove slack and tighten frame wire quickly and efficiently — giving your foundation the firm, even support it needs. A properly tensioned wire is essential for keeping wax foundation straight and stable once installed, helping to ensure strong, uniform comb building by your bees. This long-handled crimper uses spoked metal wheels that bend the wire slightly as it rolls through, shortening its length and tightening it without needing to rewire the frame. The extended handle gives you more leverage for easier crimping and greater control. Its ergonomic plastic grip and curved design fit comfortably in your hand, making it simple to use for any level of beekeeper. The metal crimping wheels spin smoothly as you draw the wire through, tightening it evenly and precisely. Key Features and Benefits Efficient Wire Tightening: Removes slack and tightens wire without rewiring. Extra-Long Handle: Provides leverage and easy control during use. Spoked Metal Wheels: Create small bends in the wire for a perfect, even tension. Comfortable Grip: Plastic handle and curved design fit naturally in your hand. Durable Construction: Built to last for many seasons of frame assembly. Detailed Description The long wire crimper makes assembling wired frames faster and easier by tightening the foundation wire using small, consistent crimps. Simply feed the wire between the spinning wheels to reduce its length and take up any slack. The crimping action bends the wire just enough to create tension — no need to restring or replace the wire. This tool is especially useful when preparing frames for 100% wax foundation, where even tension is key to preventing sagging or bowing. The comfortable handle allows for extended use during frame assembly while maintaining control and precision. See our other wax foundation assembly tools.
