MonsterBuck Winter Rye

Winter rye seed, also called cereal rye, works incredibly well as a food plot. Expect quick germination and rapid growth in the fall, greenery throughout the winter months, and vigorous growth in the spring. Winter rye seed will remain productive later in the fall and earlier in the spring than any other food plot seed. This makes it an excellent attractant for deer and turkeys, providing nutritious forage throughout the colder months. Benefits Quick Germination: Rapid germination and growth in the fall ensure early establishment. Extended Productivity: Remains productive later in the fall and earlier in the spring compared to other food plot seeds. Winter Resilience: Provides greenery throughout the winter months and very quick spring growth. Attracts Wildlife: Highly attractive to deer and turkeys, especially in the spring. Weed Suppression: Highly effective at suppressing weeds, maintaining clean food plots. Nutrient Management: Ties up nitrogen close to the soil’s surface, enhancing soil fertility and structure. Cold Tolerance: Will germinate in soils as cold as 35°F, extending the planting season. Low Fertility Needs: Works well in low pH soils with little fertility but responds well to nitrogen applications. Planting Instructions Seeding Rate: Seed at 80-120 lbs/acre when planted alone, and 20-90 lbs/acre when used in mixes. Seeding Depth: Plant seeds at a depth of 1/2-2 inches.
