Our unique extraction process ensures optimal extraction of beneficial plant compounds resulting in a higher concentration of active compounds than conventional extraction processes. Additionally, glycerine is naturally sweet, but with no glycemic effect, making it a superior delivery system for herbs compared to bitter-tasting extracts as well as being alcohol-free, so great for little ones too! Herbal glycerites are liquid herbal extracts made with glycerin instead of alcohol. Glycerin is a sweet, syrupy substance that is commonly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Herbal glycerites are used as a natural remedy to: Extract the medicinal properties of herbs: Glycerin is an effective solvent for extracting the active constituents of herbs, allowing them to be preserved in a concentrated form for later use. Preserve herbs: Glycerin is a natural preservative that can be used to preserve the shelf life of herbs and prevent them from spoiling. Provide a sweet flavor: Glycerin has a sweet taste that can mask the bitter flavor of some herbs, making them more palatable for oral consumption. Provide an alcohol-free option: Herbal glycerites are a good option for people who prefer to avoid alcohol, such as pregnant women, children, and people with alcohol sensitivities. It is important to note that while herbal glycerites have been used for centuries in traditional medicine, there is limited scientific evidence to support their effectiveness for various health conditions. If you are considering using herbal glycerites, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider first, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications. Musette Winter Glycerite comes in a 120ml size.
