Wings

Migle Kosinskaite’s Wings presents a quiet, surreal moment where the familiar becomes symbolic. A calm profile stands centered in the frame, eyes hidden behind a turquoise band that feels both protective and mysterious. The figure’s stillness invites the viewer to linger on what is unseen - the inner world that exists when sight is softened and imagination does the looking. Behind the figure, an oversized hand unfolds like a fragile wing, stretching gently outward. Its presence feels both human and dreamlike, suggesting guidance, memory, or perhaps the subconscious reaching toward freedom. The striped garment and textured background add rhythm and grounding, making the surreal elements feel naturally woven into the scene. In its essence, Wings reflects the delicate balance between vulnerability and possibility - a reminder that not all forms of flight begin with feathers. The painting echoes Migle Kosinskaite’s ongoing interest in inner landscapes, where symbols appear quietly and emotions move just beneath the surface, revealing stories that continue long after the first glance.
