The Sidecar Combines Rustic Charm With Functional Outdoor Heating Wine Barrel Dude Sidecar is a free standing gas fire pit available in liquid propane or natural gas, handcrafted from a real wine barrel with integrated tabletop functionality. A Fire Pit Designed for Entertaining The Sidecar brings together the warmth of a gas fire pit and the practicality of an outdoor coffee table. Built from an authentic wine barrel, it creates a distinctive focal point for patios, decks, and gathering spaces while still providing usable tabletop space for drinks and small plates. Its side shelf design accommodates a standard 10.5-inch dinner plate, making it easy to relax and entertain without sacrificing comfort or convenience. Functional Design With Flexible Fuel Options Designed for both style and usability, the Sidecar features a wide angled flame pattern that spreads warmth evenly across the seating area. The included tabletop lid covers the burner when not in use, converting the fire pit into additional countertop space for everyday outdoor living. The fire pit is available in either liquid propane or natural gas configurations. A standard 20-pound propane tank fits neatly inside the base, while the side access door provides convenient access to the propane cylinder or gas shut-off valve. Installation Options The Wine Barrel Dude Sidecar is a free standing gas fire pit designed for outdoor use on patios, decks, and other open-air living spaces. No venting or permanent framing is required. Liquid propane models house a standard 20-pound propane tank inside the base, while natural gas models connect to an existing gas line. Proper gas installation should be completed according to local building codes and manufacturer guidelines. Its compact footprint and movable design make it suitable for flexible outdoor layouts and seasonal rearrangement. Controls & Features The Sidecar uses a burner system with an angled flame pattern designed to provide broad flame distribution across the burner pan. A fireplace key valve located on the outside end of the unit allows manual flame adjustment during operation. The burner pan measures 10.5 inches by 26.5 inches and includes a 1.25-inch lip for proper burner integration. The included tabletop lid protects the burner when not in use and creates additional functional surface space. A side access door allows quick access to the propane cylinder or gas shut-off connection. A glass wind guard is highly recommended for this model and is available separately.
