Willow Oak Tree

The Willow Oak Tree is a true American classic. A large, long-lived tree that grows to amazing heights, it is a great source of shade and food for wildlife.  Willow Oak Trees are often planted alongside roadways, in parks, and in the yards of rural and suburban homes. They are sometimes called the Swamp Willow Oak because they are often seen in the woods bordering swamps and streams.  The leaves of the willow oak are long and slender, resembling that of Willow trees; due to the strength of the wood, they are often planted as shade trees in urban environments.
