Willow - NES

Willow for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an NES action RPG cartridge from Capcom based on the fantasy film of the same name. It stands out for its overhead adventure format, magic-based combat, and a quest structure that blends exploration, town interactions, and dungeon progression. Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Platform: Nintendo Entertainment System cartridge game. Top-down action RPG gameplay combines real-time sword combat with spells, item upgrades, and character progression. Towns, castles, caves, and other fantasy areas create a larger quest-driven world than many early NES action titles. Magic system and equipment upgrades add depth beyond a standard hack-and-slash adventure. Capcom’s NES library includes several standout action releases, and this title remains a distinctive film-to-game adaptation from that era. Willow is remembered as one of the more ambitious role-playing adventures on the NES, with a format closer to an action RPG than a traditional turn-based game. A notable entry in the Nintendo Entertainment System catalog and Capcom’s retro lineup.
