Willie Nelson

Along with his musical fly buddies, the Al Green fly and the Miles Davis fly, Willie Nelson is a twist on the good ol' egg sucking leech. Like it's red-headed namesake, this fly has a huge following because it flat out WOPRKS.  It's the black rabbit fur that soaks up water, helps the fly stay down deep, and wiggles like a wacked-out eel. Salmonids cannot resist this treat! Big streamer-eating trout are also vulnerable around this pattern.  Articulation gives you a sizeable fly that hooks fish and keeps them hooked throughout the fight.
