Williamsburg - Herringbone - Blacksmith's Hammer

What are Vintage Vinyl Floorcloths made of? Two-ply vinyl with a latex padded backing. It is about 1/16” thick and can fit under most doorways. The material will lay flat and has a certified non-slip surface. It is non-flammable, phthalate-free, and UV-resistant for up to three years. Can my Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth be used outside? We suggest indoor use, unless your space is protected from the weather. While they are fade-resistant in direct sunlight and durable against the elements for up to 3 years, if your floorcloth gets wet or is left in the rain, it must be dried, to prevent mold and warping. Dry the top side and flip it over to allow the underside to dry. Always make sure that your floorcloth is secured in place, as high winds may cause damage. Covered patios or screened-in porches are preferable in outdoor settings to ensure that your floorcloth lasts a long time. Keep in mind that your floor cloth needs to be placed on a solid, flat surface. If placing on concrete, make sure the surface is smooth. Any rough spots in the concrete could create divots or bumps on the surface of the floorcloth.  Do carpet pads need to be used with my Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth? No, carpet pads are not necessary and should not be used. Vintage Vinyl will lay flat and stay in place once unrolled on the floor. Floorcloths will not move with you as you walk across them, but smaller sizes will occasionally need to be repositioned, especially with heavy traffic. Can a Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth be used on hardwood or tile floors? Yes! It will not damage or discolor hardwood floors. When used on tile with wide grout, please be aware that furniture legs or high heel shoes may puncture the floorcloth. Rolling chairs, such as in an office setting, will leave grooves and can tear your floor cloth. We do not recommend use on carpet, gravel, or any other uneven surface.  Can my Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth puncture or tear? While very durable, they are not indestructible. Do not drag heavy furniture across your floorcloth. High pressure points, such as stiletto heels or other sharp objects, can cause dents or small tears. Always use felt pads under any furniture placed on your floorcloth. How should I clean my Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth? All you really need is a damp cloth with water. For stubborn jobs try diluted hand soap on a cloth or soft sponge. Do not use floor cleaning chemicals, scrub brushes, or vacuums.  Can a Vintage Vinyl Floorcloth be adhered to floors, walls, or ceilings? Floorcloths are marketed as accent rugs, however, they can be used in permanent applications as well. For instructions on how to permanently adhere Vintage Vinyl Floorcloths, please contact us. We're sorry, but custom sizes are not available in this pattern.
