William Robert Scott 2010 Violin

This violin, made in 2010 by William Robert Scott, is modeled after the celebrated 1742 “Benno Rabinof” violin by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù. The original instrument is historically associated with the violinist Benno Rabinof and has been played in more recent times by violinists such as Liza Ferschtman. According to the maker, the original violin was at one time in the Twin Cities and was loaned to and played for several years by Steven Copes, concertmaster of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
