Salmon roe is a delicious addition to breakfast or served over deviled eggs for a colorful appetizer. Deep orange to red hues, with extra large pearls and intense ocean notes. Nothing but caviar and salt. Salmon roe (keta) is commonly referred to as "red caviar" or its Japanese name "ikura." Salmon roe, or keta caviar, has extra large eggs with translucent yet firm egg shells. The bright orange pearls are filled with a sweet honey-like flavor and notes of the ocean. Salmon roe is perfect for garnishing foods, such as sushi rolls or canapés. Yet, you can also indulge in its fresh taste with a spoon right out of the jar. Sourced from the finest wild salmon in the ice waters of Alaska. Did you know...roe is a general term for eggs harvested from fish, while caviar is a specific kind of roe from fish within the sturgeon family.
