Detailed Description The Wide Uncapping Plane is a manual stainless steel tool used to remove wax cappings from frames during honey extraction. Measuring 5 inches wide, it is designed to efficiently uncap both medium and deep frames, removing more cappings in a single pass compared to narrower tools. To use, the plane is drawn across the surface of the honeycomb, slicing off the wax cappings as it is pulled. This design provides a smooth and controlled motion, helping beekeepers prepare frames for the extractor without the need for heated tools. The wide uncapping plane has become a popular choice among beekeepers because it complements essential uncapping tools such as uncapping forks and uncapping knives, offering a fast and practical way to expose honeycomb cells.   See our entire collection of Harvesting and Bottling product.
