Wichita Blue Juniper Tree

Easy-to-Grow Junipers Give You Evergreen Color The striking silvery-blue color of the Wichita Blue Juniper adds a handsome contrast to your landscaping year-round. Even better... it is virtually maintenance-free. The upright Wichita Blue Juniper boasts the bluest color of the upright juniper varieties. It has dense, bushy foliage, which makes it a good choice for windbreaks and privacy hedges. Since it is an evergreen, you'll be able to enjoy the unusual color all year. The Wichita Blue Juniper maintains its tidy, pyramidal shape without pruning or trimming, so it is an elegant choice as a single specimen, too. If you prefer to enjoy your yard, rather than spending time maintaining it, the Wichita Blue Juniper is a perfect choice. It's amazingly easy to care for. The Wichita Blue Juniper is a fairly fast-growing tree, adding up to eight inches of height per year. The mature tree can reach four to six feet wide, so make sure you give it plenty of room. Newly transplanted trees need regular watering, but once your Wichita Blue Juniper is well-established, you'll find that it's very drought-tolerant. It makes a great way to add color and height to your landscaping even in dry climates where water is at a premium in the summer months. And if deer make a habit of snacking on your landscaping, don't worry- they won't bother this tree.
