Whole Grain Reginetti

Discover the Regal Ruffle— Whole Grain Pasta Ribbons that Elevate Any Sauce Whole Grain Reginetti brings fantastic flavors and textures to any pasta dish. The ribbon shape is accented by ruffled, wavy edges, a combination that effortlessly hugs sauces to capture more flavor in every bite. It also features a delicious and rich flavor that derives from our organic whole grain flours. Reginetti originated in Italy’s Southern regions of Campania and Sicily. The name means “little queens” in Italian, a reference to the royal association with Princess Mafalda of Savoy, a beloved figure in the country’s history. The pasta’s distinctive ribbon-like form with wavy edges is designed to resemble the lace or frills on a queen’s gown. Traditionally used in dishes that feature rich, hearty sauces with meat, cheese, and vegetables, Reginetti brings a touch of regal elegance to any meal. Our whole grain pastas feature a blend of organic durum semolina and organic, stone-milled hard red wheat from the New York’s Finger Lakes region. Hard red wheat offers higher protein levels and the darker wheat bran has exceptional flavor, texture integrity and nutritional benefits. The durum semolina, milled from the heart of durum wheat, is key to creating pasta that holds its shape and delivers the essential "al dente" texture for a better bite. Try our Whole Grain Reginetti in our recipe for Pomodoro or with Italian Sausage and Peppers.
