This 9 by 12 art print features the artwork of Marian Ellis Rowan, from the 1899 publication ‘A Guide to The Wildflowers’. Rowan was a talented botanist and painter, and she created over 3,000 paintings, traveling all over the world studying the plants and animals she encountered. Her representations of plants, have a unique artistic style, and were a significant contribution to the field of botany before photography was commonplace. White-top pitcher plants (Sarracenia leucophylla) are endemic to the southeastern united states, and can be found in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and North Carolina. Like all Sarracenia, White-top pitcher plants are carnivorous, and trap and consume insects to get nutrients. 9in by 12in art print Printed on felt woven watercolor paper Designed and printed in the USA
