White Pepper (Ground) Fair Trade

Hotter, simpler pepper with a fine, smooth texture. Ground white pepper offers a clean, sharp heat, perfect for light-colored dishes like soups, sauces, and mashed potatoes. It’s also our secret ingredient in spice cookies! Try it in place of black pepper for a subtler, refined flavor. From The Woks of Life: Translating to bái hújiāo (白胡椒) in Chinese, white pepper is used in soups, marinades, sauces, stir-fries, and more. You may be surprised to know, for instance, that it’s white pepper, and not chili that lends that slow burning heat to your favorite takeout hot and sour soup.
