White Knock Out Rose

White Knock Out Rose (Rosa 'Radwhite')White Knock Out Rose brings a clean, bright look to the landscape with pure white blooms that keep coming from spring through fall. Its naturally compact, bushy habit fits neatly into beds, borders, and foundation plantings without constant shaping. The contrast of snow-white flowers against very dark green foliage gives the plant a crisp, finished look from a distance. If you want long-season flower coverage with an easy routine, this rose is built for reliable performance. Distinctive FeaturesThis shrub rose produces abundant, single white flowers that stand out clearly against very dark, matte green foliage, with new growth often appearing especially deep in tone. Bloom is continuous through the warm season, so the plant stays colorful with minimal downtime between flushes. A light floral fragrance adds a subtle bonus, especially when planted near walkways and outdoor living spaces. Mature size is typically about 3.5 feet tall and about 3.5 feet wide, forming a dense, rounded shrub. Growing Conditions Sun: Full sun is best for maximum bloom and the healthiest, densest growth, and it tolerates part sun with fewer flowers. Soil: Plant in fertile, well-drained soil and amend with organic matter for best performance. Water: Water deeply during establishment, then water when the top few inches of soil are dry while avoiding soggy conditions. USDA Zones: Zones 4 to 11. Spacing: Space about 3 to 4 feet apart to support airflow and allow the shrub to fill out evenly. Ideal Uses Focal Point: Use as a focal point in a sunny bed where pure white bloom and dark foliage contrast can brighten the space from spring through fall. Foundation Beds: Adds a crisp, polished look along the house with a compact shrub form that stays neat. Mass Planting: Plant in groups for a clean sweep of white that reads well from the street. Mixed Borders: Pairs easily with perennials and shrubs, helping unify color palettes and add repeat bloom. Low Hedges: Use in a row to create a tidy flowering edge that stays full and bright for months. Low Maintenance Care Pruning: Prune in late winter to early spring to shape the shrub and encourage vigorous new flowering growth. Deadheading: Deadheading is optional because flowers drop cleanly, but removing spent clusters can improve tidiness. Watering: Water at the base to keep foliage drier and support healthier growth through humid weather. Feeding: Fertilize in spring and again after the first heavy bloom flush to support continued flowering. Mulching: Mulch to conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and moderate soil temperature around the roots. Why Choose White Knock Out Rose? Pure White Flowers: Bright blooms create a clean, fresh look that works with any landscape style. Season-Long Bloom: Continuous flowering from spring through fall keeps beds looking active for months. High-Contrast Foliage: Very dark green leaves make the white blooms stand out from across the yard. Compact, Bushy Habit: A dense 3.5 foot by 3.5 foot form fits borders, foundations, and mass plantings without crowding.
