White Bowl with Bronze Splashes

Welcome to the One of a Kind section of my site I call "flux". Flux in ceramics is the term we use for materials that help our glazes melt. It also can mean "a continuous movement, change of flow". This collection is full of pieces that are not part of the production line. They stand alone art pieces that are functional and elegant. This is a section for the art collectors.  Process: This vase was wheel thrown, trimmed then hand etched. A bronze glaze was applied over the matte salt white glaze.  Materials: A gray stoneware clay. Durable, lead free glazes custom mixed in my studio.  Color  Salt white and bronze. This piece has beautiful patina and variations.  Size & Capacity: All measurements are approximate due to the hand thrown nature of my work.  7.5 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall x 3.75 inch base  Care: Please hand wash this item.
