Whistler Gray 12×18

One of the Largest Cedar-Look Enclosures for Hot Tubs and Compact Swim Spas The Whistler 12×18 is one of the largest composite spa enclosures in the Westview catalog, providing room for an 8-foot square hot tub with space for spa steps, a sofa, a coffee table, and additional furnishings. At approximately 12 feet wide and 18 feet long, the interior is spacious enough to function as a furnished outdoor room rather than just a shelter over a tub. This size also accommodates a compact swim spa (up to approximately 14 feet in length) for homeowners looking to combine a swim spa with an enclosed, weather-protected space. The designer-inspired cedar-colored Ultrawood walls with dark brown accents on windows and doors create a warm, lodge-like atmosphere inside the enclosure. The Whistler 12×18 is the size where the West Coast aesthetic of the collection becomes truly immersive — the combination of warm wood tones, glass windows on every side, and a skylight overhead creates a space that feels like an upscale cabin retreat. Glass Windows and Skylight at a Larger Scale Six sliding lockable glass windows with aluminum frames wrap the structure, and at approximately 12 by 18 feet, the number and size of the glass panels creates an impressive wall of light around the perimeter. The built-in skylight in the Duraflex PC roof adds overhead illumination. Together, the glass and skylight fill the Whistler 12×18 with enough natural light to feel open and airy even during overcast winter days. In the evening, the glass walls create a warm, glowing lantern effect from outside that adds visual beauty to your backyard after dark. Ultrawood Composite: Built to Last Without Maintenance The Ultrawood construction handles years of weather exposure without fading, cracking, or requiring any maintenance. The cedar-wood finish looks and feels realistic, and the heavy-duty composite is engineered for the structural demands of a building this size. For homeowners comparing the Whistler to the Aspen 12×18, both offer West Coast-inspired aesthetics and the same Ultrawood material, but the Whistler features tall glass windows and a lighter cedar color, while the Aspen features signature rounded plexi glass corners with a rich Terracotta color. Snow Load, Wind Rating, and Climate Suitability Standard snow load rating of 35 pounds per square foot with a 75 mph wind rating covers most residential situations. The optional bracket upgrade kit increases capacity to 40 pounds per square foot snow load and 100 mph wind. At this size, the bracket upgrade is worth considering for any homeowner in a region that experiences significant snow accumulation or severe windstorms. Assembly and Options The Whistler 12×18 ships as a pre-assembled panel kit. Two lockable swing French doors provide the main entrance, customizable to any wall position. Assembly takes a full day for two to three people. The entrance door placement flexibility means you can orient the building to match your yard layout, placing the doors toward the house, toward a path, or toward a pool area. For the largest model in the Whistler line, the 12×20 adds two more feet and creates the most spacious entertainment-ready layout. For a slightly more compact option, the Whistler 12×16 handles a hot tub plus a small sofa. Optional tempered glass, screen kits, and roof brackets are available.
