This is a top-down cardigan knit in the rnd. The cardigan is steeked. If you prefer a pullover, you can ignore the steek instructions, but your sweater will be approx 1 in/2.5 cm smaller than the schematic measurements at the chest. You will also need to use the additional instructions for a pullover at the end of the pattern. Fit is meant to be relaxed. This sweater has the option of creating a hem at the bottom. If you decide to create a hem, you can write a little note to yourself by using the technique described in the pattern or in duplicate stitch once you have worked the hem facing. I have given you an alphabet chart so you can create your own intention.
