Whipple EcoBoost Mega Cooler (21+ Explorer)

Whipple EcoBoost Mega Cooler (21+ Explorer ST) Transform your Ford Explorer ST into a performance powerhouse with the Whipple Stage 1 Performance Kit, the most advanced 50-state legal upgrade available for the 3.0L EcoBoost. Engineered by Whipple’s calibration and performance experts, this system delivers substantial power gains while preserving factory reliability, drivability, and emissions compliance. The kit combines Whipple’s massive Mega Cooler intercooler with a high-flow air filter and a custom Whipple calibration designed for premium 91+ octane fuel. With up to +60 horsepower and +80 lb-ft of torque over stock, the Stage 1 system dramatically improves acceleration, throttle response, and midrange pull. It also enhances the transmission’s shift schedule, raises RPM shift points, and refines pedal mapping for a more responsive driving experience. Convenience refinements include the deactivation of auto start/stop and the addition of a gear indicator in Drive. Tested and proven on the dyno, the Whipple Mega Cooler achieves an approximate 70°F drop in intake temperatures, and over 100°F under sustained load, thanks to its massive 214% increase in core volume and 259% more frontal area versus stock. *Explorer hybrid version is not compatible. Power ratings with 93 octane. Actual results may vary with fuel quality and conditions.
