GE Washer Motor and Pulley (WH49X27319)

The GE Washer Motor and Pulley powers the drum rotation and drive system in your washing machine, converting electrical energy into the mechanical motion needed to spin and agitate your laundry. The motor works together with the pulley to transfer rotational force through the drive belt, keeping the wash and spin cycles running at the correct speed and timing. A GE washer motor and pulley can fail due to worn motor windings, overheating from repeated heavy loads, a cracked or damaged pulley, or normal wear over years of use. When the motor weakens or the pulley becomes misaligned or broken, the drive belt can slip or lose tension, causing the washer to underperform or stop cycling altogether. If you notice any of these symptoms, the motor and pulley assembly may need to be replaced: - Washer drum does not spin or agitate at all - Drum spins weakly or inconsistently during the wash or spin cycle - Loud humming, buzzing, or grinding noise coming from the motor area - Burning smell during or after a wash cycle - Drive belt slips off or shows premature wear - Washer starts but stops mid-cycle without completing the spin - Visible cracks, chips, or damage on the pulley itself
