GE Washer Inverter Board (WH22X38837) (Replaces WH22X35837)

The GE Washer Inverter Board controls the speed and operation of the drive motor in your front-load washing machine. It converts incoming power into the precise signals needed to run the motor at different speeds during the wash, rinse, and spin cycles, allowing the washer to operate efficiently and respond to cycle commands. Important Compatibility Note: Part number WH22X38837 is the current manufacturer-approved replacement for the following discontinued part number(s): WH22X35837. If your appliance documentation or old part uses any of these numbers, this is the correct, updated component for your repair. A GE washer inverter board can fail due to power surges, voltage spikes, overheating, or normal wear on internal electronic components over time. When the board is damaged or not functioning correctly, the motor may lose its control signal, causing the washer to behave erratically or stop mid-cycle. Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the inverter board is the source of your problem: - Washer drum does not spin or agitate even though the machine powers on - Motor runs at the wrong speed or behaves erratically during a cycle - Washer stops mid-cycle and will not resume - Error codes related to the motor or drive system appear on the display - Burning smell or visible scorch marks near the motor control area - Washer will not start a cycle despite responding to button presses - Loud or unusual noises from the motor that were not present before
