The GE User Interface Board is the control panel circuit board that receives input from the washer's buttons and knobs and communicates your selected settings to the main control board to run the correct cycle. It powers the display, indicator lights, and touch or push controls that let you choose wash cycles, water temperature, spin speed, and other options on your front-load washer. A GE user interface board can fail due to power surges, moisture exposure, worn contacts from repeated use, or general component fatigue over time. When the board begins to fail, it may stop registering button presses, display incorrect information, or prevent the washer from starting a cycle altogether.
