GE Washer Motor and Inverter (WH20X10094)

The GE Washer Motor and Inverter is the power unit that drives the wash tub, controlling both the spin and agitation cycles in your washing machine. The motor provides the mechanical force to rotate the drum or tub, while the inverter regulates the motor's speed and direction, allowing the washer to shift smoothly between different cycle speeds. Together, they ensure your GE washer delivers consistent, efficient cleaning performance with every load. The GE Washer Motor and Inverter can fail due to electrical surges, worn motor windings, overheating from heavy or unbalanced loads, or inverter board faults that disrupt speed control signals. Over time, normal wear or moisture exposure can degrade internal components, causing the motor to run poorly or the inverter to lose its ability to regulate power properly. Here are some symptoms that may point to a failing motor or inverter in your washer: - Washer drum does not spin or agitate at all - Tub spins slower than expected or stops mid-cycle - Washer shuts off unexpectedly during the spin or wash cycle - Loud humming, buzzing, or grinding noise coming from the motor area - Error codes related to motor speed or drive faults on the control display - Burning smell from the bottom or rear of the washing machine - Washer starts briefly then stops without completing the cycle
