His secret formula manuscript was handed down from one generation to the next, and his great granddaughter used modern ingredients to give his authentic perfume a contemporary interpretation. WF/2020, “Woody Fresh” is a modern twist on this ageless patchouli formula. A pairing of saffron and ambrette opens with a duo of rose and patchouli that gives you a woody and fresh scent with a softened skin finish. The sweetness of the start melts into a creamy musk and soft suede base that is heavenly. Perhaps what we love the most is the feeling of purity in the feminine fragrance. It’s beautiful and lush in the most subtle of ways Notes include bergamot, ambrette absolute, saffron blossom, french rose, pomegranate, peony, patchouli cœur, suede, and skin musk. A.N.
