Westcott V-Flat

Westcott Portable V-Flat The Westcott Portable V-Flat is a versatile light control solution designed for photographers, filmmakers, videographers, and content creators who need professional lighting tools that are easy to transport and quick to set up. Offering a lightweight, collapsible alternative to traditional foam-core V-flats, this modular system helps shape, reflect, absorb, and control light in both studio and on-location environments. Available in multiple configurations, the Westcott Portable V-Flat can be purchased as a single-frame or two-frame kit and with black, white, or reversible black/white fabric covers to suit a wide range of lighting styles and production needs. Versatile Light Control Whether you're bouncing light to soften shadows, creating negative fill for added contrast, blocking unwanted spill, or using it as a clean background, the Westcott Portable V-Flat adapts to virtually any lighting setup. White fabric surfaces provide soft, flattering reflected light, while black surfaces absorb light to increase depth and create more dramatic, controlled scenes. For photographers and filmmakers, the V-Flat is also an excellent tool for creating book light setups, controlling ambient light, or separating subjects from busy backgrounds. Portable & Professional Design Unlike traditional foam-core V-flats, the Westcott Portable V-Flat features a durable collapsible aluminum frame that folds down for convenient transportation and storage. The lightweight design makes it ideal for studio work, location shoots, commercial productions, portraits, interviews, livestreaming, and content creation. Depending on the model, the frame opens to provide generous coverage while remaining stable during use. Integrated support feet help keep the V-Flat securely positioned throughout your shoot. Interchangeable Fabric Covers Select models include interchangeable stretch fabric covers that install quickly and allow users to switch between white and black surfaces as needed. The durable fabric is reusable, wrinkle-resistant, and machine washable, providing a long-lasting alternative to foam-core panels that can chip, dent, or warp over time. Tool-Free Setup Designed for efficiency, the Westcott Portable V-Flat assembles quickly without tools and can easily be set up by a single person. Once the shoot is complete, the frame collapses into a compact size for convenient storage and transport using the included carrying case (where applicable).
