Wenonah Aurora Tandem Canoe

Wenonah Aurora Touring Canoe The Wenonah Aurora is a nimble, versatile 16-foot touring canoe purpose-built for exploring, day-tripping, and moving water adventures. A downsized evolution of the beloved Spirit II, the Aurora retains the same efficient, smoothly gliding hull and confidence-inspiring stability that made the Spirit II a bestseller — while adding quicker turning response that makes it equally at home on Northwoods rivers as it is on open lakes. Shorter than the Spirit II but still capable of carrying a solid load, the Aurora strikes the ideal balance between maneuverability and efficiency, handling wind and waves with the same predictable performance paddlers have come to expect from Wenonah. It's no surprise the Aurora consistently ranks among Wenonah's best-selling canoes. The Wenonah Aurora UltraLight w/Aramid brings the stiffest, lightest construction available to this already capable hull. Built with a structural-foam core and rib system laminated into the hull, reinforced fabric layers in high-stress areas, and strategically placed aluminum mounting plates — with seats, footbraces, and all hardware riveted cleanly from the inside for a smooth, snag-free exterior. Aramid fiber, the same material trusted in aerospace applications and body armor, delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio that makes portaging and car-topping dramatically easier without sacrificing rigidity or durability on the water. Wenonah has been crafting Aramid canoes for over 30 years and remains the world's largest Aramid canoe manufacturer, making the Aurora UltraLight the ideal choice for paddlers who want a quick, capable canoe they can take anywhere with minimal effort.
