Wendy Trouser - Indigo

W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans. Introducing the new Spring/Summer '24 Collection: Pawai Paratroopers - a celebration of Thailand's first group of female paratroopers, whose motto was "to prove that women can do anything as well as a man, no matter what affair. Whatever the task, be it on land, in water, or in the air." (Paratrooper Ampai Sombat, Freedom Magazine 1961). Through their action, these women became cultural figureheads of radical change during the 1960s, inspiring new attitudes towards women and social progress throughout Thailand. The Wendy Trousers are a simple, tapered leg four pocket denim jean done the W'Menswear way — with outstanding construction, a great fit, and a stellar fabric. Cut with a high rise and wide, curved legs, they're a perfect relaxed fit, with a simplified yokeless construction that uses darts for shaping through the waist. Made from a premium Thai denim produced by at a third-generation family-owned mill in Bangkok, the 100% cotton fabric is beautifully woven, and dyed with imported French indigo. This fabric was given a finishing rinse to account for initial stiffness and shrinkage, making the break-in process easy. Over time, it will continue to fade and patina in a way that is unique to each owner and their lifestyle. Fits true to size.
