Wells Avenue Barn - Original Painting *

30" x  30" original artwork. This contemporary landscape painting is rendered in bold, saturated color. Wells Ave Barn, captures a classic New England outbuilding at the height of summer light. Young reduces the scene to its essentials — the crisp geometry of the gabled barn, a dirt road curving toward the horizon, a dense line of trees — and lets color do the emotional work. The barn's white walls shift into cool lavender where the sun falls away, anchored by a vivid red-orange foundation that snaps against the surrounding green, while a deep violet shadow stretches across the lawn and gives the composition its weight. Confident, painterly brushwork keeps the scene alive rather than static — a work that reads as both nostalgic and thoroughly modern.
