Greg Webber Transformer (L) - Apex

Greg's Transformers feature two front fins with his trademark sleek, tall, highly refined outline paired with a flexing half moon (keel-esk) center fin. As per Greg; "The tall, raked front fins are almost twin fins size; they offer the drive and hold, while the smaller, flexing center fin is able to twist within the single cup to add flow to the twin fin effect of the larger front fins.”  The center fins are single tab (fcs) and have an integrated cutaway of the base (futures base) to ensure increased lateral flex through the hind section of the fin.  This provides a more lively, playful feel with less unwanted "stickiness."  These sets have a sort of Twin + trailer feel and are very loose/responsive.  The Webber fins are part of the Specialty family Front Base: 4.76" Height: 5.68" Area: 17.81 in² Rake: 36.7° Foil: Flat Center Base: 5.99" Height: 3.05" Area: 13.72 in² Rake: 26.7° Foil: 50/50 Greg Webber is known within the surf world as someone who has always pushed the boundaries of surf craft performance.  He’s been an innovator and shaper for top surfers all over the planet.  In 1970, at age 10, Greg started shaping boards that were inspired by the likes of Hot Buttered and McCoy surfboards.  Greg shaped his first polyurethane Webber surfboard from a broken nose Midget Farrelly board that he found in a trash bin at Bondi beach.  Greg has shaped for legendary brands such as G&S but has always come back to doing his own thing.   Greg re-founded Webber surfboards in 1996 back at Yamba and then moved back to Sydney in 2004 where he continued to build Webber surfboards for pros around the globe such as: Shaun Tomson, Sunny Garcia, Taj Burrow, Andy Irons, Damien Hobgood, Chris Ward, Josh Kerr, and Kelly Slater to name a few.
