Web Flex Pro 4x7 Z-Screen

Why Risk Standard Screens When You Can Demand Elite, Ricochet-Free Protection? Flimsy pitching screens wobble, dent, and fail under real game-speed impacts, and when a standard rigid-frame screen takes a direct hit, it doesn't just absorb the ball — it throws it back. Unpredictable ricochets off stiff frames and cheap netting have struck pitchers, coaches, and hitters during live BP, front toss, and machine work more times than anyone should accept. And every violent ball return is not just a safety risk, it's a baseball lost to a damaged seam, a cracked cover, or a scuffed surface that makes it unusable for live pitching. There's a smarter, safer, more economical standard. Introducing the Web Flex Pro 4'x7' Z-Screen — the most advanced and versatile compact baseball pitching protection screen available, engineered from the ground up to eliminate dangerous ricochets, protect hitters from errant ball returns, and deliver a level of durability that generic screens simply cannot match. Trusted by collegiate coaches, professional facilities, travel teams, and elite backyard training setups, the Web Flex Pro Z-Screen is not just protective equipment — it's a complete rethinking of what a baseball pitching screen should do. The Z-Screen Difference: Dual-Sided Versatility for Every Training Scenario What separates the Z-Screen from every other screen on the market isn't just what it stops it's what it enables. The Z-Screen's unique geometry delivers two fully functional sides in a single screen, giving coaches and players the ability to run multiple training scenarios without swapping equipment or resetting the field. Side One is purpose-built for overhand throwing. Step behind it, fire full-speed fastballs, breaking balls, or changeups at game velocity, and the Web Flex Pro Series' signature safety and durability technologies handle everything that comes back. Whether you're a pitching coach running bullpen sessions or a travel team grinding through live BP, this side gives you the full protection profile of a professional-grade pitching screen. Side Two is configured for front toss, short toss, and softball throwing mechanics. Coaches and instructors who split their day between overhand work and short-game training no longer need a second screen. Flip your perspective, step to the other side, and you're set up for soft toss or underhand work immediately with the same Flex Technology protection, same #96 netting, same ricochet-free ball drop. For softball programs, this side delivers the angle and coverage profile that overhand-only screens simply can't offer. The result: one screen that serves your entire staff, your entire practice structure, and both baseball and softball training, every session. The Web Flex Flex Technology Advantage: Why Flexing Frames Save Players — and Save Baseballs The single most important safety innovation in the Web Flex Pro Series is what we call Flex Technology — our patented, exclusive frame engineering that makes this the only pitching screen designed to actively move with the ball rather than fight against it. When a pitcher throws a 70, 80, or 90 mph fastball that comes back as a screaming line drive, a rigid steel frame does one thing: it deflects the ball at a dangerous, unpredictable angle. That ricochet can travel directly back toward the hitter in the box, toward coaches, or toward fielders positioned nearby. It's a known hazard that coaches and programs have accepted for years as "just part of the game" — until now. Web Flex's patented shock-absorbing Flex Technology changes the physics of ball impact entirely. The frame is engineered with rubber isolators positioned at critical stress points throughout the structure. When a line drive makes contact, the frame flexes and absorbs the kinetic energy of the impact, dissipating force through the isolators rather than redirecting it outward. The ball slows, drops, and falls safely to the ground — directly in front of the screen. No violent ricochet. No ball flying toward the batter. No dangerous rebound path at all. The frame then snaps instantly back to its original position, maintaining its structural geometry without warping, bending, or permanent deformation — even after thousands of direct hits at max velocity. Coach Kirk Kelley of Oklahoma Wesleyan College put it simply: "This screen is far beyond anything I have ever seen or used." Coach Chambers of Seminole State College adds: "I bet we have 10,000 direct hits into the frame and it still looks like new." That is what Flex Technology delivers: a safer practice environment for pitchers, coaches, and hitters, a dramatically reduced risk of injury from ricocheting balls, and a screen that protects your investment for a lifetime of training seasons. Hitter Safety: The Most Overlooked Benefit of a Flex Technology Screen Most coaches think of a pitching screen as protection for the pitcher or coach throwing the ball. What they don't talk about nearly enough is the danger to the hitter standing in the box. On a standard rigid-frame screen, a hard-hit ball that catches the frame or the netting at an angle doesn't just stop — it launches back toward the batter at speed. For hitters locked into their stance and not expecting a ball to come screaming back at their head, hands, or knees, this is a real and serious injury risk. Youth players are especially vulnerable because they often lack the instincts and reaction time to protect themselves from a return ball they didn't anticipate. The Web Flex Pro Z-Screen eliminates this risk entirely. Whether the ball hits the netting or the frame itself — Flex Technology and the #96 gauge netting work together to absorb and neutralize the impact. The result is a controlled, dead-ball drop at the base of the screen rather than a dangerous rebound launched back at the hitter. Your batter stays locked in on mechanics, stays confident at the plate, and stays safe every single rep. As Coach King of Cave City Schools put it: "My hitters can focus more on hitting without worrying about a ball bouncing back at their face." Save Money on Baseballs — Every Session On a rigid-frame screen, every direct hit sends the ball slamming into a fixed, unyielding surface at full velocity. The ball absorbs all the energy the frame doesn't — compressing, scuffing, and cracking the cover with every hard impact. After a high-volume BP session behind a standard screen, coaches routinely pull baseballs from the bucket with split seams, dead leather, and distorted surfaces that make them useless for live pitching. The Web Flex Pro Z-Screen changes this equation completely. The #96 gauge, 3-strand twisted polypropylene netting with 930 lbs. of mesh breaking strength flexes and absorbs the impact rather than deflecting it. The ball's energy is spread across the net rather than concentrated into a single collision point. Balls come off the Web Flex screen in significantly better condition — seams intact, covers clean, leather preserved — meaning your game balls and practice balls last longer and give you more usable reps per dollar spent. What Sets the Web Flex Pro 4'x7' Z-Screen Apart? Patented Flex Technology — The Only Ricochet-Reducing Screen on the Market Exclusive rubber isolators and a purpose-engineered flexing frame dissipate ball impact force on contact, safely dropping the ball in place rather than shooting it back toward your hitter or coaching staff. This is the defining safety advantage of the Pro Series, and it cannot be replicated by any rigid-frame competitor. Dual-Sided Design — One Screen, Two Training Modes Overhand pitching on one side. Front toss, short toss, and softball throws on the other. No second screen needed, no delays between stations, no compromises for multi-sport programs. #96 Netting — The Heaviest, Highest-Grade Baseball Netting Available Constructed from 3-strand twisted polypropylene with a mesh breaking strength of 930 lbs., UV treated to resist sun degradation, and engineered to handle the hardest hit balls at game speed, day after day. 14-Gauge Pro Steel Frame — Built to Outlast Every Rep Powder-coated for weather and corrosion resistance — the same structural standard used in professional and collegiate training facilities. Optional Pro Pad Upgrade — Maximum impact cushioning on direct frame hits, extending the life of your investment through seasons of elite-level training. Optional Pro Dolly Upgrade — Effortless one-person mobility between mounds, cage stations, infield setups, or side fields in seconds. The Complete Package — Z-Screen + Pro Pad + Pro Dolly + Pro Screen Protector: every element of pitcher and hitter protection, maximum portability, and long-term durability in a single, ready-to-deploy setup. Optional Lifetime Frame Warranty — The Only Pitching Screen You'll Ever Buy When Aaron Vansoyoc, a former MLB player, calls it "simply the best screen I've ever thrown behind," that's a testament not just to performance but to the durability that earns a lifetime guarantee. The Z-Screen's unique dual-sided design is what separates it from every other pitching screen on the market. One side is purpose-built for overhand pitching, giving baseball coaches and pitchers full coverage during live BP and bullpen sessions. The other side is configured for underhand delivery, front toss, short toss, and softball throwing mechanics. That means one screen handles every training scenario your program runs without repositioning, resetting, or purchasing a second screen. Add patented Flex Technology and #96 netting and the Z-Screen does everything a standard L-Screen does, plus everything a standard L-Screen cannot. What is Flex Technology and why does it matter for the Z-Screen? Flex Technology is Web Flex's patented, exclusive frame engineering that makes the Z-Screen the only dual-sided pitching screen designed to actively move with the ball rather than fight against it. Rubber isolators are built into critical stress points throughout the frame. When a line drive makes contact on either side, the frame flexes, absorbs the kinetic energy, and drops the ball safely at the base of the screen rather than deflecting it back toward your hitter or coaching staff. The frame then snaps instantly back to its original position, ready for the next rep. No dangerous ricochets. No ball flying toward the batter. No permanent frame deformation, even after thousands of direct hits at max velocity. Can the Z-Screen be used for both baseball and softball? Absolutely, and that dual-sport capability is one of the Z-Screen's defining advantages. The overhand side serves baseball pitchers, coaches, and BP throwers at full game velocity. The underhand side is configured for softball pitchers and coaches running front toss, short toss, and underhand throwing mechanics. Programs that run both baseball and softball training no longer need separate screens for each sport. The Z-Screen handles both, every session, on any field or in any facility. Which side of the Z-Screen do I use for baseball versus softball? The overhand side is designed for full-speed baseball pitching, live BP, and bullpen work where the throwing angle is overhand or three-quarters. The underhand side is designed for softball pitching mechanics, front toss, and short toss where the delivery angle is underhand or sidearm. Both sides are protected by the same Flex Technology and high-gauge netting, so you get the same elite level of ricochet-free protection regardless of which side you are throwing from. What gauge netting does the Web Flex Pro Z-Screen use? The Web Flex Pro Z-Screen is built with #96 gauge netting, the thickest and heaviest netting currently available on the market for baseball training screens. It is constructed from 3-strand twisted polypropylene with a mesh breaking strength of 930 lbs. and is UV treated to resist sun degradation. This significantly outlasts the standard commercial netting used on most competitor screens and handles the hardest hit balls at game speed, day after day, without sagging, tearing, or losing structural integrity. What is the frame made of and how durable is it? The frame is constructed from 14-gauge premium powder-coated steel, the same structural standard used in professional and collegiate training facilities. It is engineered to handle daily high-volume reps on both sides without bending, cracking, or deforming over time. With the optional Lifetime Frame Warranty, it is the last pitching screen your program will ever need to buy. Will the Z-Screen help my baseballs and softballs last longer? Yes, significantly. Standard rigid-frame screens force balls to absorb the full energy of every direct impact against an unyielding surface, which splits seams, cracks covers, and destroys ball leather over time. The Z-Screen's Flex Technology and #96 netting absorb and distribute that impact energy across the net and frame rather than concentrating it on the ball. Balls come off the Z-Screen in significantly better condition, seams intact, covers clean, leather preserved, meaning your game balls and practice balls last longer and deliver more usable reps per dollar spent on equipment. Is the Z-Screen safe for youth baseball and softball programs? Absolutely, it is specifically recommended for youth programs. Youth hitters are most at risk from ball returns off rigid-frame screens because they often lack the reaction time and instincts to protect themselves from a rebound they did not anticipate. The Z-Screen's dead-ball drop design means the ball never returns toward the hitter on either side, giving young players the confidence to stay locked in on their mechanics without flinching or guarding against returns. For youth programs running both baseball and softball, the Z-Screen is the single safest and most versatile option available. What is the difference between the Screen Only, Pro Pad, Pro Dolly, and Complete Package options? The Screen Only option gives you the full Web Flex Pro Z-Screen with Flex Technology and #96 netting on both sides. The Pro Pad upgrade adds a cushioned impact absorber to the frame for additional protection and extended hardware life on direct frame hits. The Pro Dolly upgrade adds rolling wheels for one-person mobility between stations, mounds, and cage setups with zero lifting required. The Complete Package includes all four components, Z-Screen, Pro Pad, Pro Dolly, and Pro Screen Protector, for the definitive all-in-one training setup. Does the Web Flex Pro Z-Screen come with a warranty? A Lifetime Frame Warranty is available as an optional add-on at checkout. This covers the frame and isolators for life regardless of how heavily the screen is used on either side. The standard screen purchase does not include the warranty unless selected at the time of order. How does the Z-Screen compare to other dual-purpose or multi-sport screens on the market? Most screens marketed as versatile or multi-sport still use rigid welded steel frames and standard commercial netting with no true dual-sided design. None offer a patented flex frame with rubber isolators, and none combine overhand and underhand coverage in a purpose-engineered Z-frame geometry. The practical difference is measurable, more ball energy is redirected on competitor screens, creating greater ricochet risk, faster ball wear, and no true underhand side for softball use. The Web Flex Pro Z-Screen is the only screen on the market that combines patented Flex Technology, #96 netting, 14-gauge steel construction, a genuine dual-sided design for baseball and softball, and an optional lifetime warranty in a single product. Can I order the Z-Screen in bulk for a team or facility? Yes. Bulk and institutional pricing is available for teams, training facilities, school programs, and coaches ordering multiple units.
