GE Timer (WE04X24550)

The GE Timer (WE04X24550) is a critical component in your dryer, responsible for controlling the timing of the drying cycles. It ensures that your appliance runs for the correct duration, allowing for efficient drying of clothes. The timer works by advancing through the cycle settings, coordinating with other components to manage the heat and duration of each cycle. This part is essential for the proper operation of your dryer, ensuring that it completes cycles as expected. Common causes of failure for the GE Timer include wear and tear over time, electrical faults, or mechanical issues within the timer mechanism. These failures can disrupt the normal operation of your dryer, leading to incomplete or prolonged drying cycles. Regular use and age can contribute to the degradation of the timer's internal components, necessitating a replacement to restore functionality. If you are experiencing issues with your dryer, consider the following symptoms to determine if the GE Timer may be the source of the problem: Dryer does not advance through cycles. Dryer runs continuously without stopping. Dryer stops mid-cycle unexpectedly. Dryer does not start at all.
