WD Electronics Polaris Xpedition Wiper Delay Module (2024+)

If your Polaris Xpedition or Ranger XD 1500 only has one wiper speed, you already know the problem: in a light drizzle the blade drags across a half-dry windshield, chattering and smearing, because the factory switch has no intermittent setting. The WD Wiper Delay Module wires inline with that factory switch and adds two selectable intermittent-wiper intervals, so the blade wipes and then waits. Each kit ships as three pieces: the module itself, a machine-specific wiring harness, and a rocker switch that selects between the short and long delay. WD Electronics designed and developed the system in-house. Key Features Adds two selectable intermittent-wiper settings to a machine that has none from the factory Works inline with the factory wiper switch — the stock control stays in place Short delay for steady rain, snow or mud; long delay for lighter moisture Machine-specific wiring harness with 4-pin Deutsch connectors Included rocker switch puts both settings within reach while driving Designed and developed in-house by WD Electronics Built To Solve: One-Speed Factory Wipers On The Polaris Xpedition and Ranger XD 1500 A wiper that runs continuously whether the windshield needs it or not Blade chatter and streaking when the glass is only lightly wet Reaching down to flick the wiper on and off through every passing shower Unnecessary wear on the blade and wiper motor from constant sweeping Spray and mist off the trail that needs an occasional wipe, not a constant one Best For: Polaris Xpedition and Ranger XD 1500 Owners Who Ride Or Work In Changing Weather Owners running a windshield and wiper who ride through variable conditions Work and utility use where the machine is out in weather all day Riders in dust, mist or spray who need a wipe now and then rather than constantly Anyone who wants a factory-feeling control rather than a toggle they operate by hand Owners who want the upgrade without cutting into the factory wiring Specifications Function: intermittent-wiper delay control, wired inline with the factory wiper switch Delay settings: two selectable intervals (short and long) Control: included standard rocker switch Harness: machine-specific, 4-pin Deutsch connectors Kit contents: WD Wiper Delay Module, machine-specific wiring harness, rocker switch Designed and developed in-house by WD Electronics Manufacturer Part Number: WDM-2 FitmentWD lists this module for: 2024+ Polaris Xpedition, all models and submodels 2024+ Polaris Ranger XD 1500, all models and submodels This is a machine-specific kit — the harness and connectors are built for the machines listed above. Fitment is not guaranteed on any application not listed here. WD builds separate wiper delay modules for its other supported platforms, so check that your machine appears above before ordering. FAQMy Polaris Xpedition wipers only run at one constant speed. Does this fix that? That is exactly what it is for. The factory wiper switch on the Polaris Xpedition and Ranger XD 1500 gives you continuous sweep with no intermittent position. This module wires inline with that switch and adds two intermittent delay settings, so the blade parks between wipes instead of dragging across a nearly dry windshield. What is the difference between the two delay settings? The short delay wipes more frequently and suits steady rain, snow or mud. The long delay wipes less often and suits light moisture or spray. You choose between them with the included rocker switch, so you can change settings as conditions change without stopping. Does this replace my factory Polaris Xpedition wiper switch? No. The module works inline with the factory wiper switch — the stock switch stays in place and keeps doing its job. The included rocker switch is an addition that selects which delay interval the module uses. Will it fit any Polaris Xpedition? It is built specifically for the Polaris Xpedition and Ranger XD 1500, using a machine-specific harness with 4-pin Deutsch connectors. Fitment is not guaranteed on any application not listed in the Fitment section. Check your year and model before ordering, and if you run a different machine, WD builds separate modules for the other platforms. What comes in the kit?Three pieces: the WD Wiper Delay Module, a machine-specific wiring harness, and a rocker switch for controlling the delay setting. Do I need to cut or splice anything to install it?No. The harness is machine-specific and uses matching connectors, so the module drops in between your factory wiring and the wiper switch. You will need to route the harness and find a spot to mount the rocker switch where you can reach it while driving. Why WD ElectronicsWD Electronics builds plug-and-play electrical systems for UTVs — street legal kits, turn signal kits, horns and harnesses — designed and developed in-house rather than adapted from generic automotive parts. The wiper delay module follows the same approach: a machine-specific harness and matching connectors, so the upgrade works with the factory controls instead of around them. Finish Your Polaris Xpedition Weather SetupBefore ordering, confirm your machine and year against the Fitment list above, and check that you have a windshield and factory wiper already fitted — this module controls an existing wiper system rather than supplying one. Plan where the rocker switch will mount so it is within reach from the driver's seat. If you are building out the same machine for road or all-weather use, the WD street legal and turn signal kits, the hazard add-on and the 125dB air horn all run on the same plug-and-play approach.
