GE Large Black Burner Cap (WB29K10006)

The GE Large Black Burner Cap sits on top of the burner base on your GE gas range or dual fuel range and plays a key role in how the flame spreads during cooking. It channels and distributes the gas flame evenly around the burner so heat reaches your cookware consistently and efficiently. A GE burner cap can become cracked, warped, or clogged over time from high heat exposure, boilover spills, and grease buildup that blocks the flame ports. When the cap is damaged or misaligned, it disrupts the even spread of the flame and can affect how reliably the burner ignites and performs. Look for these symptoms to help determine if your burner cap needs to be replaced: - Burner flame is uneven, lopsided, or only burns on one side - Burner clicks repeatedly but will not light - Flame is weak or lower than normal even at high settings - Burner lights but goes out shortly after igniting - Visible cracks, chips, or warping on the cap surface - Yellow or orange flame instead of a steady blue flame - Burner produces an uneven hissing or popping sound during use
