GE Infinite Control Switch (WB24T10153)

The GE Infinite Control Switch regulates the power level sent to a surface burner on an electric range, allowing you to select and hold any heat setting between low and high. It works by cycling power on and off rapidly to the burner element, giving you continuous control over cooking temperature without fixed steps or presets. The GE Infinite Control Switch can wear out over time from heat exposure, repeated use, or internal contact damage that prevents it from cycling power correctly. A failed switch may stick in one position, lose its ability to hold a set temperature, or stop sending power to the burner altogether. Look for these symptoms to determine if this switch may need to be replaced: - Burner stays on high heat regardless of the dial position - Burner will not turn on at any setting - Burner only works at one heat level and cannot be adjusted - Burner cycles on and off erratically during cooking - Dial feels loose, spins freely, or does not click into position - Burning smell or scorch marks near the control panel - Burner turns on by itself or does not shut off when the dial is set to off
