GE Range Ignitor Glowbar (WB13X25262)

The GE Range Ignitor Glowbar is the heating element that lights the oven burner in your gas or dual fuel range. When the oven calls for heat, electrical current flows through the glowbar, causing it to heat up until it reaches the temperature needed to open the gas valve and ignite the burner. This cycle repeats each time the oven needs to maintain its set temperature. The GE Range Ignitor Glowbar can weaken or fail over time due to repeated heating and cooling cycles, which cause the element to become brittle and crack. Exposure to grease, moisture, or cleaning products can also degrade the glowbar, reducing its ability to draw enough current to open the gas valve and light the burner reliably. These symptoms can help you determine if the ignitor glowbar is the cause of your range issue: - Oven does not heat up even though the gas supply is on - Glowbar glows but burner never ignites or takes a very long time to light - Glowbar does not glow at all when the oven is turned on - Oven cycles off shortly after starting and fails to maintain temperature - Visible cracks, breaks, or damage on the ignitor element - Oven works intermittently, lighting sometimes but not consistently - Gas smell without ignition when the oven is turned on
