GE Oven Lamp and Housing (WB08T10002)

The GE Oven Lamp and Housing is the complete interior light assembly that illuminates the oven cavity so you can monitor food as it cooks without opening the door. It includes both the bulb socket and the protective glass or metal housing that shields the light from heat, grease, and steam inside the electric range. The GE Oven Lamp and Housing can fail when the bulb burns out, the socket corrodes from moisture exposure, or the housing cracks due to repeated thermal cycling. Grease buildup around the housing can also cause the light to flicker, stay off entirely, or make the socket difficult to clean or access safely. These symptoms can help you decide if the oven lamp and housing is the source of your problem: - Oven interior light does not turn on when the door is opened - Light flickers or dims during cooking - Housing is visibly cracked, chipped, or broken - Socket appears corroded, burned, or discolored - Bulb burns out repeatedly in a short period of time - Light stays on or off regardless of door position
