Madison Power S

Swiss Power, Shared Vision Power lies at the foundation of musical performance. In Préverenges, Switzerland—where CH Precision and Wattson Audio share their headquarters, production, and engineering workshops—the same team of engineers and craftsmen pursue a single vision: a common language of precision and the belief that true musical expression begins with flawless power delivery. At CH Precision, power supply design has been elevated to an art form—redefining how scale, speed, and silence can coexist within a digital source. The Madison Power S embodies this same philosophy, distilling that expertise into a compact, purpose-built supply for the Madison Streamers. Crafted with the same intent, by the same minds, it carries forward the artistry of CH and Wattson alike—completing a system built on the harmony between innovation and musical soul. Every element of an audio circuit depends on the stability and purity of its power. Noise, voltage ripple, and current fluctuations—often imperceptible on a scope—can subtly blur transients, compress dynamics, and mask low-level detail. This is why the engineers at Préverenges treat power supply design not as a necessity, but as an art. The same philosophy that guides CH Precision’s reference-grade supplies is distilled into the Power S, where ultra-clean, tightly regulated power preserves timing, spatial cues, and harmonic integrity. When the foundation is pure, music flows with a natural ease and realism that conventional designs simply cannot match. Where Efficiency Meets Refinement The Madison Power S employs a hybrid power design that merges the efficiency of switching regulation with the finesse of linear control. This combination achieves exceptional electrical performance while minimizing heat and energy loss. Its milled aluminum chassis provides both mechanical stability and electromagnetic isolation, ensuring the internal circuits operate in an electrically silent environment. At the input stage, a precision power line filter suppresses unwanted noise and high-frequency interference before it reaches the switched-mode section. The converted DC is then refined through a combination of passive and active filters, supported by substantial energy storage to maintain voltage stability under dynamic load conditions. The result is a foundation of exceptional purity and responsiveness—allowing the Madison Streamers to perform at their full musical potential.  The Power S’s output stage is governed by a discrete bipolar transistor regulator, delivering ultra-low noise and precisely controlled voltage. By avoiding the low-frequency hum inherent to conventional transformers, it ensures a cleaner, faster, and more immediate current response. Intelligent monitoring and protection systems safeguard both the Power S and its connected device, automatically reducing power draw below half a watt when the system enters standby. The result is a design that balances engineering precision with environmental awareness, embodying the shared philosophy that defines both CH Precision and Wattson Audio. The Ideal Madison Companion The Madison Power S was conceived as the ideal companion to the Madison Streamer, both architecturally and electronically. Sharing the same footprint and aesthetic language, it forms a unified system that looks—and performs—as one. Fully compatible with all Madison Streamers, past and present, it ensures consistent performance and visual harmony across the entire line. Beneath its precision-milled aluminum enclosure lies a purpose-built power architecture engineered to deliver the cleanest possible current to the Madison Streamer’s sensitive digital stages. By lowering the noise floor and increasing dynamic headroom, the Power S reveals new layers of musical information. Dynamic contrasts become sharper, spatial cues more vivid, and low-level detail emerges from a quieter, blacker background. The result is greater dimensionality, a more stable soundstage, and a sense of effortless realism that deepens the emotional connection to the music. Two Finishes, One Identity The Madison Power S joins the Wattson family in both Light Gray and Dark Gray finishes. Designed to complement the Madison Streamers, its refined palette reflects Wattson Audio’s pursuit of precision and visual harmony. The Dark Gray finish introduces a new, understated elegance, while Light Gray continues the brand’s signature aesthetic of timeless simplicity.
