Watermark Notebook by iA Japan

The quietest luxury. Each page bears faint horizontal lines created through watermarking—a technique that renders translucent guides within the paper itself, historically reserved for authenticating fine stationery and currency. The lines are visible enough to steady your hand, refined enough to recede beneath your words. Crafted from premium Araveal White Japanese paper, each sheet handles fountain pens with particular grace. The binding—beautifully engineered—allows the book to open completely flat, an invitation to uninhibited thought. Presented in a Kiri box, crafted from Paulownia wood prized for centuries in Japan for safeguarding precious instruments and textiles. The box itself becomes an archive, a vessel for returning to your most considered reflections. Every detail speaks to iA's philosophy: the restraint of the hardcover, the invisible precision guiding your pen, the seamless flow from thought to page. A notebook that disappears into your process, leaving only what matters. Winner of the highly prestigious Red Dot "Best of the Best" Award 2025. Handcrafted in Japan. Limited Quantities available.  A5 (5.8 × 8.3 × 0.8") 288 Pages Compatible with most pens and inks, including fountain pens.
