The Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution designed this flag in 1915, basing it off a popular design used throughout the state featuring a likeness of the first president, George Washington.  The flag of Washington consists of the state seal, displaying an image of its namesake George Washington, on a field of dark green with gold fringe being optional. It is the only U.S. state flag with a field of green as well as the only state flag with the image of a president.  Read more about the Washington State Flag at the World Atlas website.
