Wandering Vine Cardi Pattern

Keep warm with the Wandering Vine Cardi, where texture abounds. The all-over seed stitch creates a nubby surface – soft, warm, and endlessly inviting – while a delicate vine motif wanders gracefully up the back, as if nature itself had stitched it into place. Long lines make this cardi as dreamy to wear as it is to knit, carrying with it the quiet poetry of growth and love found in every stitch.  Pattern Details: Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Knitter Materials: Spun Cloud (100% wool; approx. 100 yds (92 m) / 200 g) 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) [9, 10, 10] skeins for Full Length Option, shown in Orchid  OR 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) [7, 8, 8] for Short Option, shown in High Vibes Needle Size: US Size 17 (12 mm) 47-60” / 120-150 cm circular needle or approx. 3 mm smaller than larger needle US Size 19 (15 mm) 40-60” / 100-150 cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge (and if not using magic loop, additional needles of the same size for your preference of small circumference knitting) Gauge: 6.5 sts and 9 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Seed Stitch worked flat on larger needles, steam blocked Sizes:  1 (2, 3, 4, 5) [6, 7, 8] Finished Measurements: 43.5 (48.25, 53.25, 58.25, 63) [68, 73, 77.75]” / 108.5 (121, 133, 145.5, 157.5) [170, 182.5, 194.5] cm finished chest circumference, with Front Edgings overlapping / buttoned 37.75” / 94.5 cm total length at center Back (not including Collar) for Full Length Option 27.25” / 68 cm total length at center Back (not including Collar) for Short Option Fit Note:  Recommended to be worn with 10-15” / 25-37.5 cm of positive ease at the chest, depending on your preferred fit. Full Length Sample is shown in size 2 on a 34” / 85 cm chest with 14.25” / 36 cm of positive ease.
