Your Edgewise Floating Shelf may differ in character, color, and grain pattern.*** Each piece of Created™ Hardwood is hand-selected, air- and kiln-dried, sealed and finished to ensure the highest level of quality and durability. However, a piece of wood never truly “dies”, and variations in temperature and humidity can cause wood to expand and contract. Small splits are not unusual, and sometimes seal themselves with climate cycles. Resin fills are also susceptible to minor cracking and separation as a result of the wood’s movement. These are normal occurrences associated with solid wood furniture, as are dings and dents, and should be considered added character rather than damage.
