Walleye Fish Socks

Beautiful fish print taken right from the fish, hand pressed on athletic socks. Cotton bottom, arch support, ready for fishing. The walleye (Sander vitreus), also called the yellow pike, is a freshwater perciform fish native to most of Canada and to the Northern United States. It is a North American close relative of the European zander, also known as the pikeperch. The walleye is sometimes called the yellow walleye to distinguish it from the blue walleye. In parts of its range in English-speaking Canada, the walleye is known as a pickerel, though the fish is not related to the true pickerels, which are a member of the family Esocidae. This beautiful fish is part of our "Pro Series".  Caught by Lisa Roper in Southern Alberta.  Lisa is an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about people and encouraging them to share in the experience of what nature has to offer. She is a recognized advocate for conservation and ethical hunting and fishing.
