Waiting out the Cold

This little bird felt gentle and patient as it came to life on the canvas. Perched quietly on the branch, it seems to be waiting — not in a restless way, but with calm acceptance. The soft feathers and muted background create a peaceful stillness, while the touches of color in the leaves hint that change is coming. To me, this piece is about those quiet pauses in life when everything feels slow, but something new is just around the corner. The bird isn’t flying yet… it’s simply resting, observing, and trusting the moment. There’s a softness in that — a reminder that not every season is about movement. Sometimes, it’s about waiting, breathing, and gathering strength.
