Wagan Tech High Efficiency Folding Solar Panel | 100 Watts

Wagan Tech High Efficiency Folding Solar Panel | 100 Watts For Portable Solar Power When you are building a portable solar setup, the panel needs to do more than simply produce electricity. It needs to be practical to transport, easy to deploy, and suitable for the environment where you plan to use it. The Wagan Tech 100W Folding Solar Panel is designed around those needs, folding in half for easier portability while providing deployable legs for positioning the panel toward the sun. The panel can be used with Wagan Tech Lithium Cube portable power supplies, and its Anderson Powerpole output connector can connect with devices that have matching connectors or with an appropriate adapter. The panel is described as a plug-and-play design, allowing you to plug it into a compatible device, unfold it, and begin using the panel. Wagan Tech 100W Folding Solar Panel Features For Easier Outdoor Power 100 Watts Of Solar Output So You Can Add Portable Charging Capacity With a maximum wattage of 100 watts, this folding solar panel provides a dedicated solar input for compatible portable power equipment. Its 23% stated panel efficiency is paired with a monocrystalline panel composition, giving customers a compact solar option for portable power applications. Maximum wattage of 100 watts Panel efficiency of 23% Monocrystalline panel composition Max power voltage of 20.5V Max power current of 4.9A Folding Construction For Easier Transport And Storage Large solar panels can become awkward when you are moving equipment between locations. This Wagan Tech panel folds in half and includes a soft carrying handle, making transportation more manageable. The permanently attached rugged nylon case folds with the panel and secures with a hook and loop closure. When opened, the panel measures 21.3 x 45.8 x 1.2 inches. When closed, it measures 22.8 x 21.3 x 1.2 inches, with a listed unit weight of 6.8 pounds. Deployable Legs So You Can Position The Panel Toward The Sun Solar panels work by using available sunlight, so positioning matters. The Wagan Tech 100W Folding Solar Panel includes deployable legs that help keep the panel at an angle toward the sun. This gives you a practical way to position the folding panel when setting up your portable solar equipment outdoors. ETFE Matrix Laminate For A More Practical Outdoor Panel Design The panel uses an ETFE matrix laminate and a semi-rigid flexible design rather than the heavy glass-covered construction commonly associated with traditional rigid solar panels. Wagan Tech lists the panel as IP67 rated waterproof and designed with a matte ETFE surface. The manufacturer also identifies chemical and UV resistance and a stated operating temperature range of -4 to 140ºF. These specifications make it important to review the panel's stated operating conditions when planning where and when you will use it. Anderson Powerpole Connector For Flexible Connection Options The solar panel's 78-inch power cable terminates in an Anderson Powerpole connector. Anderson connectors can be used with devices featuring matching connectors or with an appropriate adapter. The manufacturer specifically notes that an adapter is not included, so confirm the connector requirements of your intended power supply before purchasing. The panel does not include a solar controller. If your planned setup requires a controller, customers should confirm the appropriate equipment and connection requirements before purchase. Self-Contained Carrying Design So You Can Keep Solar Gear Organized The panel is permanently attached to a rugged nylon case that folds with the unit. A small zippered storage case provides space for cables, tools, and adapters, although the manufacturer notes that cables, tools, and adapters stored in that compartment are not included. The integrated design helps keep the panel and its storage features together when transporting the equipment. Real-World Applications For Portable Solar Power The Wagan Tech High Efficiency Folding Solar Panel | 100 Watts is designed with portability and outdoor use in mind. Its folding construction, carrying handle, deployable legs, and semi-rigid flexible design make it particularly relevant when you need to take solar equipment with you rather than permanently mount it in one location. Off-Road Adventures — The manufacturer specifically describes the panel as being built for outdoor and off-road adventures. Portable Power Supplies — The panel works with Wagan Tech Lithium Cube portable power supplies and can help turn a portable power supply into a solar-powered setup. Outdoor Power Equipment — Its folding design provides a practical option when solar equipment needs to be transported and deployed at different locations. Remote Outdoor Use — The deployable legs and portable construction make it useful where you need to position a panel outdoors rather than rely on a permanently installed array. For RV, camping, mobile worksite, marine, or other specialized applications, connector compatibility and the electrical requirements of the equipment being powered should be confirmed before purchase. The supplied product information does not establish compatibility with every power station, RV electrical system, marine system, or other device. How This Folding Solar Panel Compares To Typical Alternatives A folding solar panel serves a different purpose from a conventional permanently mounted solar panel. A fixed panel can make sense when installation is the priority, while a folding panel is more appropriate when portability and temporary deployment matter. The Wagan Tech design folds in half, includes a carrying handle, and has deployable legs, making it easier to move and set up than a typical large rigid glass-covered panel. It is also important to distinguish the panel from a complete solar generator. This product is a solar panel, not a complete energy-storage system. It has a maximum wattage of 100 watts and does not include a solar controller. You will need a compatible power supply or other suitable equipment to make use of the electricity generated by the panel. Is The Wagan Tech 100W Folding Solar Panel Right For You This panel can be a good fit if your priority is portable solar generation rather than a permanent rooftop or ground-mounted installation. Its 6.8-pound weight, folding dimensions, carrying handle, and integrated case are useful considerations for customers who regularly transport their power equipment. This May Be A Good Fit If You want a portable 100-watt solar panel for outdoor use. You use a compatible Wagan Tech Lithium Cube portable power supply. You need a panel that folds for transportation and storage. You prefer a semi-rigid flexible design over a heavy glass-covered panel. You need deployable legs for positioning the panel toward the sun. Your equipment accepts an Anderson Powerpole connector or can use a suitable adapter. Before ordering, verify the voltage, current, connector, and solar-input requirements of the equipment you intend to connect. The panel's listed electrical specifications are 24.1V open-circuit voltage, 20.5V maximum power voltage, 5.1A short-circuit current, and 4.9A maximum power current. Common Questions About The Wagan Tech 100W Folding Solar Panel How Much Power Does The Panel Produce? The panel has a maximum wattage of 100 watts.
